The Ancestral Journey of Mama India
From the vibrant heart of Mumbai to the global stage, Gargie Verma’s path has been a metamorphosis into Mama India. Trained in the ancient rigors of Hindustani classical vocal performance and Nada Yoga, she bridges the gap between Vedic heritage and contemporary spiritual awakening. Her sound journeys are an invitation—a sacred bridge across genres, carrying the timeless vibration of Dhrupad into the modern consciousness.
Gargie Verma was born into a Vedic family, steeped in mantra, scripture, and sacred sound. From the age of three, she sang on devotional stages, in temples, recorded in studios, and wrote music alongside her father, Acharya Subhash, absorbing tradition as inheritance. She later trained in the Dagar lineage under Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar and expanded her work into Bollywood and international collaborations, becoming an artist fluent on both ancestral and global stages.
